One thing I love about a small town is that when they are passionate about something, they pour their hearts out. For example, there is a young man named Dustin who had been battling cancer for quite some time. Even though I didn’t know him personally, just like everyone else in town, I knew his story and prayed for him. One of the most touching things I have ever seen was this last Spring, at the high school graduation, when the entire auditorium stood and gave a round of applause as Dustin was escorted to the stage. I will admit, I cried in the sight around me–a town pouring out their hearts for one young man. That same inspiration passed away yesterday. Mine, as well as many others’, prayers are with his family, while the love this town had for Dustin is very clear.
