Unlike Any Other

There is something about being in the presence of God that exposes every unclean area of your life. Sometimes it is things long forgotten, and others it is things that you thought you had taken care of to the best of your ability, when really, you did. The best of your ability was done, but come to find out, you weren’t letting God put his hands in the dough.

Your uncleanliness isn’t exposed to bring guilt and the feeling of filth your way; the reason is quite the opposite. His love is so great, and He is so pure, that all he wants to do is rid you of impurities, for with your polluted life, you are unable to draw closer to him.

He will open your eyes to the hidden areas of your life; he will speak to you about the things you thought no one knew. The creator of the universe will whisper sweet nothings in your ear. You will be able to do things you never were able to do before; you will be able to forgive those that wrecked you. He takes your pain upon himself, for you.

There is just something about a place that bring comfort when you have every right to be uncomfortable; to feel love in the midst of a world so reluctant to give such an amenity.

38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[o] neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
– Romans 8:38-39
